SafeNet – Safeguarding biodiversity and carbon-rich forest networks in Europe
SafeNet is an EU funded project developing new ways to safeguard biodiversity and strengthen the resilience of Europe’s forests. Using advanced biodiversity monitoring, mathematical modelling and extensive species and ecosystem datasets, the project examines how genes, species and habitats may shift under future climate and land use scenarios.
Sintetic Project
Sintetic Project is a 4-year Horizon Europe project wtih the core objective to set up and demonstrate a traceability system for trees, logs and boards based on ICT. OptiForValue Advisory Board member Gianni Picchi is currently coordinator of Horizon Europe project SINTETIC dedicated to the digitalisation of the European forest value chains. sinteticproject.eu
