OptiForValue launches “Beyond the Trees” Researcher Interview Series

OptiForValue is pleased to launch Beyond the Trees: Conversations with Researchers, a new interview series designed to celebrate the valuable work of our OptiForValue partners in shaping the future of forestry and forest value chains!

Through a combination of written interviews and short video features, the series will provide audiences with the opportunity to hear directly from our researchers about their work, their motivations, and the real-world impact of their findings.

The first edition features Dr Carmen Romeralo, who shares insights into her work within Work Package 2, OptiManage. Her research focuses on identifying indicators of forest health based on the presence of specific microorganisms, in particular fungi, and how different forest management practices influence forest microbial communities. By better understanding these relationships, her work contributes to the development of more informed and sustainable forest management approaches.
